Cougar Open

37th ANNUAL “COUGAR OPEN”

SEPTEMBER 11th, 2023 AT EGYPT VALLEY COUNTRY CLUB

Alumni and friends of Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School gather for an entertaining day of golf, beverages, and food at Egypt Valley Country Club in Ada, MI. The 36-hole layout is always in great shape as we enjoy raising funds to support the Cougar Athletic program. Registration will begin June 15th.

IT’S FOR THE KIDS

Looking for the Facts?  Here are some:

  1. Our 37th Cougar Open (It’s For The Kids) will provide an exceptional experience for participants and sponsors.  The 18-hole scramble round of golf includes a pre-game hot lunch buffet in the clubhouse bar and patio, with snacks, soft drinks and beer on the course.  Then, after golf, a grilled brats social hour with beverages at the clubhouse lawn.  On-course games, raffles, music and prizes add to the enjoyment of the day at the exceptional Egypt Valley Club.
  2. The Catholic Central athletic program continues to be: A positive impact on the development of life skills for our students and a critical function in building and retaining the school’s community spirit. Current families and many alumni and friends of CC recognize the importance of community.

The cost of team equipment, uniforms, game fees, strength and conditioning items, etc., place a heavy burden on the athletic budget.  The cost of providing this exceptional Cougar Open  continues to rise along with most items in the economy.

Over 80% of CC students participate in at least one of the 29 athletic programs now offered.  This level of activity would not be possible without significant community support.

Your participation greatly supports this mission.

Remember — IT’S FOR THE KIDS!
